Prosthetic Pal is an independent directory. This page explains the information used by its current features.
Contact and sponsorship enquiries
If you send an enquiry, we store the name, organisation, email, message, selected listing and optional budget you provide, along with the submission time and enquiry status. We also store the email notification status and provider message reference when available. These records are accessible only to the authorised site administrator so they can review and respond. Enquiries are not displayed on the directory. Where automatic email is configured, a copy is passed to our email delivery provider (Resend) for delivery to info@prostheticpals.co.uk, with your email as the reply address. Otherwise, an optional email draft opens in your own email app and you decide whether to send it.
We use these details to answer your request and, for sponsorship, discuss a possible partnership, not to enrol you in marketing. Do not send patient records or medical details. You can request correction or removal by emailing info@prostheticpals.co.uk.
Your browser
Saved favourites, text size and contrast preferences stay in your browser’s local storage. They are not sent to the administrator. Clearing your browser’s site data removes these preferences.
Postcodes, maps and external websites
When you choose Find nearby, the postcode is sent to Postcodes.io and held in page memory. This app does not save your search postcode. Opening the map loads OpenStreetMap tiles. Directions links send the chosen clinic address and, if entered, your search postcode to Google Maps. External services have their own privacy policies.
Admin login & hosting
Admin sign-in is provided by ChatGPT. The site checks the signed-in account before allowing content changes or access to enquiries. Hosting and authentication providers may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website.
Directory information
Listing details come from published sources and administrator updates. Follow the source links and check details with the relevant organisation.
